Employment law is a vast area of federal and state law governing the relationship between employer and employee.
Labor and employment law covers a variety of matters including minimum wage and overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, protection from discrimination in the work place, Whistleblower protection, worker safety issues, workplace harassment and breach of contract matters among others. Attorney Coakley’s experience include representation of both employers and employees in employment law at the federal and state levels. Attorney Coakley is a lecturer of employment law for profit and nonprofit organizations at Northeastern University.
